COMMISSION GUIDE

The Process

Your journey from booking to delivery

1.

Your Submission

You submit your booking form together with reference photos of your bouquet. I review every submission personally within a few days, and if your bouquet is selected, I’ll be in touch with an invitation to proceed. As availability is limited, I kindly ask for your confirmation within 48 hours.

2.

Reserving Your Slot

To reserve your slot, a 50% deposit is due. The deposit is non-refundable and secures the weeks I dedicate exclusively to your artwork. Once it is received, you’ll receive confirmation of your reserved slot.

3.

Before Your Slot Begins

A few days before your slot begins, I’ll send you a brief note.

4.

The Sketch

A few days into your slot, I’ll share the sketch for your review. You’re welcome to request 1–2 minor adjustments to the composition. Once approved, I begin the color work and the composition is final.

5.

Creation

Each artwork takes roughly six to seven weeks to create. As every bouquet is unique, this is an estimate. Some pieces require more time. During creation, I work in quiet focus and don’t share progress updates. You’ll hear from me once your artwork is complete.

6.

Completion & Delivery

Once finished, I’ll send you a photograph of your completed artwork together with the invoice for the remaining 50%. As soon as payment is received, your artwork is framed, carefully packed and sent on its way to you.

Your Total Timeline

Your artwork is created within the period you reserve, in winter or summer. The creation itself, from the first sketch to the final detail, takes roughly six to seven weeks; framing and delivery follow, depending on your location.

Framing Your Artwork

Every commission arrives framed and ready to hang.

Bridal bouquet artwork framed in a raised float mount

The Raised Float Mount

The float mount lifts the artwork away from its background, allowing light to fall around the hand-torn edges. The result feels weightless and refined, presenting the paper as part of the art itself.

Archival Quality

Only the highest quality archival, acid-free materials are used. Each frame is completed with UV-protective museum acrylic, providing clear viewing while protecting the piece from fading.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the proportion chosen?

After reviewing your photos, I’ll guide you to the proportion that best suits the shape and character of your bouquet. If you have a particular wish, you’re welcome to mention it in your submission.

Can I request a smaller or larger format?

The base format has been chosen with care: large enough to hold every detail of your bouquet, yet intimate enough to feel at home in almost any room. For this reason, I don’t offer smaller sizes. If you wish for a larger statement piece, bespoke commissions are available from €5,000 and quoted individually.

What if I’m not happy with the sketch?

I include 1–2 minor revisions at the sketch stage. Should larger changes be needed, they will be quoted as additional work. Once color begins, the composition is final.

How true to my bouquet will the colors and shape be?

I recreate your bouquet as faithfully as your reference photos allow, so clear, well-lit images are essential for accurate color. In shape and composition, I stay true to its character while allowing for subtle artistic adjustments, ensuring a balanced and cohesive piece.

Can I receive the artwork unframed?

To make sure your artwork is presented and preserved with the care it deserves, every commission is framed with archival care before it travels to you. It arrives ready to hang, exactly as it is meant to be seen.

What if my wedding date changes?

In exceptional circumstances, your commission can be rescheduled within a 6–12 month window at no additional charge. Your deposit remains non-refundable and secures your new slot.

Is there a payment plan?

The commission is structured as a 50% deposit to secure your slot and 50% upon completion. No other payment arrangements are available.

COMMISSION GUIDE

Photo Guide

Your photos are my only reference, so their quality shapes the accuracy of your artwork. You’re very welcome to share this guide with your photographer or florist.

1.

The Frontal Shot: The Main Reference

Photograph the bouquet straight on, at eye level, showing its full length from the top bloom to the end of the stems. Nothing should be cut off. Ideally without hands: lay it flat on a surface or lean it against a wall.

GOOD
NOT IDEAL
Good: bouquet in bright natural light

Bright natural light, true colors, full silhouette visible

Not ideal: dark and cropped bouquet

Too dark, cropped at the side: true colors and silhouette are lost

Good: standing bouquet on plain background

Standing, frontal view, plain background, full length visible

Not ideal: low-resolution bouquet photo

Low resolution: fine details are lost

Good: bouquet leaning against a wall

Leaning against a wall, stems fully in view

Not ideal: bouquet photographed from above

Angled from above: the shape is distorted

2.

Soft, Natural Light

Good light is what allows me to see the true colors of your bouquet. Natural daylight near a window or in open shade is ideal. Please avoid harsh sunlight with strong shadows, as well as dim indoor light.

3.

Additional Perspectives

Beyond the frontal shot, please send any photo in which your bouquet is clearly visible: side views, close-ups, or moments from the day. Every image helps me understand its shape and character.

4.

Special Details

If your bouquet carries something personal, such as a small pendant, a charm or a special wrapping, please send clear close-ups of these details as well.

5.

Original, High-Quality Files

Please share full-resolution JPG or PNG files without filters, grain or editing. Ideally, ask your photographer for the original, unedited files.

6.

Sharing Your Photos

As email compresses images, please share your photos via a download link, such as WeTransfer or Google Drive, so they reach me in full quality.

If your wedding is still ahead

Your photographer is your best resource. You may also ask your florist to photograph the bouquet while it’s fresh, or ask someone you trust to capture it on the day.

If your wedding has passed

Gather the images that best match this guide. Your photographer may also be able to share the original files of your bouquet.

Should any questions remain, please feel free to reach out to me directly at hello@jeanie-ahn.com.

I’m so excited to create something truly special for you.
