Eclisse was designed in 1965 by Vico Magistretti, winning the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award the very year it launched. The genius lies in its rotating inner shade, letting you dial the light from full brightness to almost total darkness - like controlling a mini eclipse right in your room.

Magistretti created Eclisse with the idea of combining pure function and playful design, inspired by the natural phenomenon of the sun being obscured. I absolutely adore this cute, rounded form. To me, it looks like a little character straight out of an animation, quietly adding personality wherever it sits.
